Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from an ethnically diverse background. The father of Jacqueline, Elroy Fernandez is an Sri Lankan. She is the younger of two siblings and has an older brother. The reason for this was the conflict in Sri Lanka that her parents decided to move to Bahrain. The schooling she completed was at Bahrain and she was awarded the Scholarship to the University of Sydney. There she graduated with an Media and Communications degree. She went to an institute called the Berlitz School of Languages which helped her improve on French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed for Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she took home the title in 2006. In 2006 she won she won the Miss Sri Lanka title. After that, she went on television as a host of a program on Sri Lankan businesses known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone's father is a professional badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been born in Copenhagen as well as Bangalore. While still a teenager, Padukone competed in a variety of National badminton competitions. However, she resigned from the sport when she decided to pursue a career as a professional model. Padukone is from Mangalorean heritage Her mother language is Konkani. Padukone Village is located inside Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi Distric of Karnataka in India. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton, while her mother is also a travel consultant.
