Morgan starred in a Safe Sex for Men and Women educational video that focused on AIDS prevention and education. A portion of the proceeds were donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She also serves on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising projects and also gave testimony to a special Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. Morgan is member of the board of Governors of APLA and the Board of Directors of Amfar. She was asked to replace the Surgeon General who was formerly C. Everett Koop at related events involving AIDS. Steve Bell, a anchor for the news has hosted a AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell has interviewed her twice about AIDS during Nightline. Morgan was awarded the Emmy nomination for her particular episode on Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. Morgan co-starred on the ABC television series Your Money or Your Wife with Joan Rivers. The summer was kicked off by Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The show, Von Zerneck/Sertner also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. She then starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady, which starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played the main character in a psychological thriller which was solely produced by the USA Network. It received one of the best ratings that the network has ever had.
